Safety instruction:
Wax melts are a safer option compared to oil and water mixtures, which can splatter and cause damage.
Unlike water mixed with oil, wax melts evaporate without the risk of explosions or running dry.
With wax melts, you can confidently use your wax burner to fill your room with fragrance.
Enjoy a delightful scent in a secure and hassle-free way.
Wax melts, which are also referred to as tarts, often offer more powerful and enduring fragrances compared to regular candles.
With no need for a wick, you can easily heat the wax in an electric warmer or tea light burner until the scent reaches your desired intensity.
When the fragrance starts to fade, simply remove the used wax and replace it with fresh wax melts.
It's important to note that water or oil should never be added to wax melts.
Additionally, opt for unscented tea lights to avoid mixing scents and ensure a consistent fragrance experience.
How can I remove melted wax melts?
There are a few methods for removing wax from your burner or warmer, but here's our favourite:
After the tea light has gone out or the warmer is turned off, place some cotton wool into the liquid wax.
The cotton wool will absorb the wax, allowing you to easily remove it and dispose of it (some people even repurpose it as firelighters!).
Then, use more cotton wool to wipe the dish clean. Cleaning is easier when the wax is still warm.
How can I ensure safety when using wax melts?
Stay safe!
Avoid overfilling the dish or well.
Remember, more wax doesn't necessarily mean a stronger scent.
Experiment with different amounts as each scent and wax type, as well as the warmer or burner, may vary.
Always place your burner or warmer on a heatproof surface.
This applies to candles as well.
Consider using placemats or candle plates to protect your furniture and home.
It's your responsibility to ensure their safety.
Keep all warmers and burners out of the reach of children and pets.
Never leave a tea light burner unattended.
